I keep thinking about some of the other transuranics, but I'm not sure they're actually stories as opposed to noodle incidents.
Noodle incidents can be very hand to drop into other fic, though!
Definitely more negative than my take. I don't see the transuranics as adversaries or traitors. Just if they were human you'd want them to see a good therapist and Plutonium really took an anti-shine to Steel.
I rather suspect that author had amalgamated Transuranics and Transients at the time.
And thanks, re. my Plutonium!
It's a compliment if the story reads like a standalone, but I don't know that it would work if one of its protagonists were not in a constant state of radioactive decay.
Yes - that's what I meant, really. (I was going to begin a sentence that started that "any S&S 'casefic' has two main elements" and then realised I couldn't, although that is also true.) Which is to say, there's often what could be a classic ghost or SF idea at some point (the photographs in the synchroton) which could be used, but you'd need to change everything else, as the elements tend to be the solutions in what they are themselves in a very distinct inhuman manner and I don't know of any way to translate that into anything else that wouldn't be just stealing outrageously off PJ Hammond, (although no doubt there is one; there usually is).
Not at all! I'd be honored. [personal profile] ashnistrike and [personal profile] rushthatspeaks have been persuading me that I should get an AO3 account for my fic anyway, all six pieces of it.
Cool! I was about to link a flister to it, and then thought I'd best double check, as I knew you didn't have an AO3 account & might not want it shared about. (Which, btw, if you ever do let them persuade you, I have 9 invites as AO3 gave 11 to all the wranglers last year. so, in all seriousness, if did want one at some point, whether for your fic, or ease of reviews/bookmarking/whatever, just pm me an email address you're willing to use & I'll send one off to you. (I can't imagine I'll suddenly get rid of all 9 anytime soon!))
