sovay's review makes me see that there *is* charm to it; from the trailer it seemed w-a-a-y too anvilicious for my tastes. On the other hand, we live in an anvil-laden age, so maybe we need anvilicious movies ... But it's the charm you and she mention that would be what I'd go to it for.
