None of our pockets are lined with gold, nobody caught the bouquet

This is a placeholder to remind myself to write about Phil Karlson's 99 River Street (1953), which despite its uninspiring title turned out to be a small, great example of low-budget, street-level '50's noir with a backdrop of boxing and night-shift taxi service. Until I can think straight, however, I am going back to bed.

[personal profile] spatch brought me home a poster for The Shape of Water (2017).
