That earlier film shows what a range he had even as a young actor; as Jekyll, he's the sexy leading man he often played, but he vanishes completely into Hyde, and the makeup job is really the least of it.

I should probably see that. For some reason I have seen Spencer Tracy's version, but not Fredric March's. I think the makeup always put me off.
