(I was thinking that I knew/had watched/something a recent film about Dunkirk and, of course - they had a big scene in Atonement there which they filmed in the town where I live, because of all the seaside towns in the UK, this is the one that looks most like war-torn Dunkirk! The cinema only needed a spot of restoration to feature in it. heh. It was quite fascinating - the day before they shot it, they had all these props out on the beach and you could walk down and wander around them and take photos.
The one thing we were all concerned about was the penguins, who had to be removed for the occasion, but they were put back again. :-D)
Sorry. A little OT, but I've never been that close up to the makings of a major film before, although the only actual filming I witnessed was somebody shooting a plastic arm up a fake tree!
