It might have been legally objectionable but again, at the time, the membership of said community was underground and illegal themselves so to challenge Lange would have been to expose themselves to criminal action as well.

I don't think the 'Gor' community demands good writing so much as ANY writing which might serve to bolster their personal worldview. More a case of anything is better than nothing?
