It was pretty limited on the actual cabaret music, sadly, I was only able to find a little. They really need a site or an organization dedicated to taking old music, digitally recording it and making it available (the government in the UK is doing this with recordings of poetry, which I thought was quite cool) - It was a 5 disk affair, but I think I have a skeleton of it still hanging around on my mom's computer (and, as luck has it, I'm visiting tonight) so I'll take a look.

The overview was a lot of Dresden Dolls and Jill Tracy, and then a little of this and that. I ended up filling in a lot with Tom Waits and Billie Holiday, despite neither of them being even tangentially right, but they captured the feel well enough, and the project was more for mood than for period accuracy.
