The previous film in the series, Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, was the first to do a monster mash-up, and House of Frankenstein goes even further, featuring Dracula, the Wolf Man, and Frankenstein's Monster (played fairly terribly by Glenn Strange). The following film, House of Dracula, also features Carradine as Dracula, along with the Wolf Man and the Monster (again played by Strange). Long-suffering Larry Talbot (and his quest for a cure from lycanthropy) is pretty much the emotional center of both films.
