I was going to say "g'dang, yes, he is exactly how I envision Peter Wimsey" -- and then I realized the pic I was looking at is in your icon, and that is why he is the face of Peter Wimsey in my head.

I am honestly delighted to have made that happen.

But the association only formed because it really does work.

I think those two icons are the oldest I have beyond the default Sovay; they were made for me by mswyrr in 2005. I made the connection first through Percy Blakeney, but the more I saw of Leslie Howard, the better it got. Somewhere, some alternate universe, there's a good version of Busman's Honeymoon on film.
