To be smut, it must be utterly without redeeming social importance

I am under no illusions that X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) was a good movie. I didn't think it was at the time. But every time I am reminded it exists, I wish it had been better, because Liev Schreiber with retractile claws was great.

Even knowing no details at all about what's happening here, I love this pic!

It was a pretty bad film, I'll agree.

On the other hand, I now know that "retractile" is an actual word and a synonym of "retractable", which I've always used. Neat.

God, how I wish any part of this film had equalled Schreiber's performance. Though who knows, right? Ryan Reynolds eventually got to do Deadpool the way he was meant to be, so maybe a better version of Sabertooth can be resurrected, too. A lot of what I like to call the "skipped" X-Men are ending up in this new mutant TV series, apparently...

I had such high hopes for this movie, because I have always loved Jackman's Wolverine, and think that Schreiber being cast as Sabretooth was inspired.

As was the casting of Reynolds as Wade.
So I just pretend the beginning of the movie is the only thing that exists.

Also...unf. So pretty. They're all so pretty.
