I'll definitely have to make time to look at this on the Internets, if only for the circus scenes. I'm fascinated by small circuses.
The circus scenes are great and worth watching the film for. They look like the only filmed record of Reco Brothers, too.
Your description of Torg's motivations and his moment of vulnerability is great, too. Not someone you'd want to get tangled up with.
No, but I think someone a lot of us have met. I wish he were less common.
