We'll stand up on the walls of the city

So I spent my entire day more or less spot-welded to my computer doing three different jobs and did not get a chance to look at the news until quite late, although I did see the exoplanets when I got up. That was lovely.

Not so lovely was the news that the present administration has withdrawn federal protection from trans students.

In just about about twelve hours, there's a rally in support of trans youth in Post Office Square and unless I wipe out after my doctor's appointment in the afternoon, I will be there. I am no good for shouting slogans at present, but I got rid of the cane as of this morning and should therefore be able to handle boots on ground.

I just have to sleep first.

Hoping it was as good as possible.

Thanks for going out and standing up for trans kids ♥

(But take care of yourself, and if you need to sit down, or leave early, or if it turns out you can't go, that's all right too, okay?)

Nice music choice :)

Glad you were able to make it. I'm a tad frustrated that all the actions I wanted to attend this week were during the workday. While my job is SUPER privileged I still cannot simply tell my boss "I'm going to leave now and go protest that Pumpkin-Spice Berlusconi has taken away my kids' rights" or "I'm going to leave now so I can meet with my Senators and tell them how important it is to keep resisting."

I liked what you said, and you sounded strong.

Is House No. 97 the bill you were talking about? "An act relative to abusive practices to change sexual orientation and gender identity in minors." Looks like Christina Barber was a co-sponsor, and it hasn't moved an inch since January 2016, so it's at least similar to what you described.

I briefly misread the identification of the vaguely-most-earthlike planet, 1F, as "If" and had a moment's utter delight. :)
