I see I missed you in an unexpectedly large crowd again! Sometime we'll have to attend something that has only the expectedly large number of protesters and then maybe we'll have a chance.
I'm planning on keeping going, m'self, because it was a moment of quiet power, and also, I want to keep my not-a-new-year's-resolution.
It felt useful to both me and gaudior; worth dedicating a night to. We also figured part of the attendee boom was generalized Trump inauguration pushback and thought it would be nice if we were some of the people who stuck around after the first wave of outrage and energy started to die down. If it doesn't, that will also be nice.
What was your resolution?
FYI, thing next weekend
Thank you! I hadn't seen that one yet.
There's also a thing at Boston City Hall Plaza tomorrow starting at 12:30; queer and trans folk in solidarity with immigrants. (Queer and trans are, of course, not mutually exclusive, but I will argue semantics another time.)
Yes! I would be attending that if I didn't have a prior commitment (also resistance-related) starting overlappingly in the afternoon. I thought about getting up for it anyway, but after pulling an all-nighter for the rally this morning, I think it's probably better that I try to get some sleep. Please let me know what it's like.
