I like them. They are very much pieces of their time; the language is lovely; and she doesn't have fainting heroines, except when it would actually be reasonable (exhaustion, et cetera) for a person to faint. I recommended clarionj two places to start: I think you might like This Rough Magic especially for its Shakespearean echoes, or My Brother Michael for its Greek tragedy. (Now of course you'll surprise me and find both of those indifferent, but really love, I don't know, Thunder on the Right.)
