Universities seem to hold sheaves of ghosts. The one near my parents' house grows more every time I wander by.

He used to go off like an alarm with dawn, which was very difficult, but now that I've installed blackout curtains in both windows he only starts trying to wake me around nine at the earliest and when he sees that it has no effect generally leaves off and settles back in with me for another round of sleep. Fingers crossed that this state of affairs persists, because I am finally sleeping more than two hours a night! Hestia sleeps at the foot of the bed and does not attempt to wake me; just leaps alertly for the kitchen once she sees that I'm conscious.
