Clothes shopping, particularly pants shopping is a hideous business, best avoided, unless you're in the habit of carrying a tape measure (as witness the tape measure I keep on me at all times, at least in civilian guise. I don't tend to carry it at cons).

I am afraid that even knowing my proportions doesn't help very much with the fact that no one makes clothes to fit them, but I keep hoping!
