I wish I'd seen that. I grew up on Sendak's picture books for children (Where the Wild Things Are, I Saw Esau, In the Night Kitchen) and knew very little about him as a person until recently. When I heard about this opera, I figured I'd be an idiot not to see it.

Do you know if he was involved with the production of Tony Kushner's A Dybbuk or Between Two Worlds? He did a terrific cover for the published play that makes me wonder.
