The situation with my e-mail is now best described as pthbbbbbt. Acceptances, rejections, conversations I was happily having, conversations I would probably have enjoyed, notifications from LJ or DW, scheduling, surprises, penis spam, since last Monday I've had nothing. I'm communicating as best I can via Gmail, but if you read either of these journals and haven't heard back from me on a subject in the last week, please ping me here. I can't even calculate what I'm missing. Harry, it sucks.

The last few days have included some very nice things, including books and movies I'd like to write about, but I am not sleeping very well at all and we're back to nightmares when I do.

I was glad to hear of the dedication of the Tony Awards to the victims and survivors of the Orlando shooting. I should have some poetry for that, but I don't. Something about Dionysos. Some he transcends, others he turns inside-out. If this country's idea of itself is righteous Pentheus, the man who draws the line with a gun in his hand, we are due some vines, some panthers, some decapitation.

Thank you! As of this afternoon, I have been able to access my regular e-mail again, but it may be a temporary situation: I'm currently using a wireless network with a different provider than the one that screwed up the static IP of my father's servers. We'll see what happens.

Can I quote you on that? It's days like these that I just want to crush everything I see until I remember tolerance and creativity, the fact that people are capable of both blind hatred and ethical beauty-making, at which point I just get really tired.
