This shit is highly focused in places like Seattle and SF and NYC and Boston, but really there's been a big shift back to the 1% of the 1% having a huge part of the wealth and everyone else getting more and more poor, especially with the huge tank of property values. I think most people are in the same boat -- unable to pay rent where they want to live, willing to work, unable to find work that pays even a little bit of enough -- but the media loves focusing on startup geniuses and not what actual regular people have been going through in this country for over a decade now, at least.
