We own both Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2. The latter is not quite as good as the former, but it's still fun. I'm not sure I'm entirely happy with the idea that Gru and the girls need a wife/mother, but I can buy the idea that there'd be social pressure in that direction on all four of them, and the eventual romance is appealing. Oh, and Gru has to deal with Margo wanting to date. I think that was my favorite thing in the second movie.

We have avoided the Minions movie because everything we've heard about it suggests it's a hot mess and potentially as offensive as funny.
