I affected black polo-necks for a while in homage. To my still-forming adolescent mind he became inextricably entwined with Olivier's Hamlet.
That makes a lot of sense to me, actually. Though I think of
Innokenty Smoktunovsky's Hamlet
, not Olivier's.
