The poem is lovely.
I am very glad you like it.
For English, not only "both" but "between" (versus "among"), which is more or less by-twain (betwegen, and for by versus be-, cf. "because," by cause of). There were also pronoun declensions for we-two "wit" and you-two "git"; see section 5.2 here.
Thank you so much! I should have been able to make the connection to "between." I didn't know about the first- and second-person dual pronouns at all. That's wonderful.
