She shook a black tambourine in my seasick dreams

My poem "Antique Water Magic" is now online at inkscrawl. The title comes from a pair of earrings by [livejournal.com profile] elisem; Denis Forkas' "The Triton's Mirror" also played a part. This is the liminal issue and it does not stint on all sorts of voices between. Bogi Takács is guest-editing the next issue, "Atypical Weather": I look forward to that already. In the meantime, check this one out!

I think I slept last night. I don't think it was for more than a couple of hours. The cats whined, scratched, and occasionally hurled themselves at the bedroom door until we finally let them in, at which point the jackhammers woke up for the day and so did I. The neighbors across the street will have to run out of driveway eventually, right?

Lovely poem.

Sorry to hear about the disrupted sleep; may the jackhammers dejack soon.

The weather improved SO MUCH today (cool! cloudy! almost like the PNW summers I remember).....but the jackhammers are now tearing up the sidewalk in front of the almost-finished giant luxury condo block. sigh. I salute you in jackhammeredness.

That poem is absolutely gorgeous. *^^*

May the season of jackhammers pass quickly. :/

Well done! I read this yesterday and loved it.
