Well, this is just as great as I expected it would be! I knew when I first watched it (off a VHS tape I found in a second-hand store, actually) that it'd be perfect for you.

Thank you for mentioning it however many years ago! It is so close to being a perfect film that the stray clunky elements are frustrating, but everything else is so good that I might not care that much. I'd love to see it on a big screen sometime.

Trying to look up Curtis Harrington's filmography, his most interesting work to me looks like his early avant-garde shorts; the two movies he directed right after Night Tide are B-picture recuts of Russian science fiction and after that some very weird psychological horror. Advice?
