Paper dreams tied up with bits of string
My short story "The True Alchemist" is now online as part of the second episode of GlitterShip, read by editor Keffy R.M. Kehrli along with stories by Vajra Chandrasekera and Sarah Pinsker. It was originally published in Not One of Us #51; there and here, it is dedicated to its inspiration Mat Joiner. I've realized my standard author's bio is way longer than works for podcast. I am made very happy by this reprint all the same.
I'm listening to reconstructed classical Greek music I haven't heard since college, courtesy of
yhlee. My advisor lent me the CD originally; I used to listen to it while translating in the mornings, along with Eleftheria Arvanitaki. That was more than ten years ago. I lived in very different rooms then. I am thinking of it as a good omen.

(I realize the alto clef is wildly inappropriate but it's the only music-related icon I have...)

It's okay; my only classical icon is still Derek Jacobi.
Thank you!

2. Are you going to Readercon?
no subject
Enjoy! It is fascinating me to hear other people speaking my work as presumably it sounds to them.

Thank you! I hope you have sent work to GlitterShip, while we're at it. I really like them.

Will send!

I think it's good for me. It hurts somewhat to be reminded, but frankly almost everything hurts with reminding right now, so I'm still listening. It's weird to see which ones stuck in my head after all these years.

Thank you.
Are you going to Readercon?
I expect so! Will you be there?

SUPER wigged out by the thought of it, though it would be good to meet people in the flesh.

Well, if it happens, let me know! Depending on our schedules, I may also be able to meet in Boston outside of Readercon, if that's less wiggy.
