Even a hedgerow can be a crucible

A brief note, before I disappear again:

My short story "The True Alchemist," originally published in Not One of Us #51, has been accepted for reprint by Wilde Stories 2015, edited by Steve Berman (Lethe Press, July 2015). It is dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] ashlyme and takes its title from his story "A Portrait in Rust," available in the same issue. I am extremely happy about this.

I was trying to run down a fact about T-shirts when I ran into Lou Miami. Take three and a half minutes and watch that performance of "To Sir, With Love." The existence of punk—and the range of music covered under that definition—will never cease to delight me.

And we get to be in the same book! Is this the first time, or does it just feel that way?

Congratulations on the reprint sale!

I'd never heard of Lou Miami. I love this version of "To Sir With Love" (though admittedly I never met a version of that song I didn't like!).

...And I had to look up the subject line. *edit* Good God, that was a Lulu song originally? Thank you for sharing!
