Did you exchange papery gifts?
Yes! We went to Harvard Book Store in between the musuems and dinner and browsed and bought each other books: I got him Norbert Blei's Chi-Town (1990) and he got me Siân Phillips' Public Places (2001). We read out excerpts to one another. We were engaged with an exchange of books, so it seemed especially appropriate.
