I have not seen dance filmed that way since the heyday of movie musicals: it serves to delineate character, express emotion, and spatially describe the nature of things. There is incredible inhumanness in some of those movements. And they use long shots, so you can see the choreography. There's some slowing and speeding of film, but I believe what I'm looking at is not enhanced by CGI. If that's the case, this show is incredibly rare.
