Byzantium was amazing, and we will be watching Berberian Sound Studio sometime soon. Be well.
I am so glad you've seen that movie. I do not know if it is the best vampire film I have seen, because there is Nosferatu (1922) and Let the Right One In (2008) and Mylène Farmer's "Je te rends ton amour," but I had never seen anything like it onscreen: in books, only, and I adored it. Maybe if you write about it, I'll finally feel obligated to say something.
(This reminds me that Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) is still not playing anywhere I can see it, and I should really just see Near Dark (1987) already. And there are many other vampire movies I don't know, but still.)
