Seriously. Laura's bus was pulling into the station Not in Service; she must have been going off shift. Judy was inside, presumably on break. I do not discount their willingness to keep driving.
I enjoy the cold, up to a point, but after that point it just eats the brain.
rushthatspeaks pointed out that it dominates not only your thought processes, but those of everyone around you: you say stupidly, "It's really cold!" and the next person says, "I know! I can't believe how cold it is! It's really cold!" So at least it's a collective reaction, but man.
I love winter as a season: I prefer being cold to being hot, because I can always put on clothing; I can't remove skin. I just wish I'd turned out to be better adapted for it.
