Tomorrow at the Big E means today! So close and yet so far!

We saw the signs for Belchertown as we drove and I realized I should have told you when we were going! Do you ever visit the Topsfield Fair? We're planning on that one next.

The tangled mass of net that you saw, that still remains from seven years ago, perhaps he got caught in that, back when it was lodged at the bottom, along with the sunken fishing boat it came from. Later a storm tossed the tangle up to the surface, but the pearl diver remained below. Or just his bones, by that time.

Prrrt.

... in the crossover world in which there is pearl diving and coral off the Portland coast.

I've found pearls in mussels and oysters I was eating in New England before. There must be someone who dives for them. I can imagine that nineteenth century.

--everything about your travels sounds lovely, the food, the green sea, the unperturbed seagulls, the art museum--okay, maybe not the wrenching changes in the city, but the rest.

The city itself is still there. I'd started to recognize it by the time we left. It was a lovely trip.
