Yeah, like I said, from what I can glean it mainly deepens stuff that's already there, juxtaposing it against a stand-alone unsub-of-the-week and their "design." The first three episodes set up a very interesting relationship between Will, Hannibal and [another character], but the notes struck in Episode Actually Five (which ran as Four) are mainly about Jack, Hannibal and [an entirely different character], with even Will's part of the plot mainly being about how he relates to Jack/Jack relates to him. [Other character #1] doesn't even appear in that episode, IIRC.

Freddie's ambiguity is excellent. She's sort of a poster child for that kind of sadly-underused female character. Which is not to say that sexuality isn't a part of her arsenal...it's just not the main part. She characterizes herself as a grown-up version of a "very smart girl" at one point, and she's right to.

To return to Will vs. Carra, meanwhile, who would you cast as her? I've seen Will genderswapped into Tatiana Maslany recently, and she could certainly do it--but then again, she can do almost anything.;)
