The 1933 adaptation with Katherine Hepburn, yes, and I saw the recent (1994) version when it was in theaters, after which its cast has been surprising me for years. (Hello, Gabriel Byrne. Hello, John Neville. Susan Sarandon? Christian Bale? I suspect the only reason Trini Alvarado's name means nothing to me is I've just never seen her in her defining roles. At the time, I mostly knew from Claire Danes.) Do you recommend this one?
