She's not shrieking, it's sprechstimme! I'm actually unfamiliar with most Schönberg beyond Pierrot Lunaire and a few random pieces, but I tend to like what I've heard. I'm typing this while listening to Britten's Peter Grimes, of course, so there may be some cognitive dissonance at work.
