Any suggestions on proportions?

This is the kind of milkshake made with chocolate ice cream, which means this conversation may just have fallen prey to one of the famous differences in regional English, but if it works with chocolate milk, I'd love to hear about it. I would guess it's a full shot of rum to a tall glass of milkshake, because the rum stands out distinctly in flavor (and it is dark), with just enough pomegranate molasses to cause a slight slurry at the bottom of the glass and not so much that it's the only sweetness in the drink, although it is generally the first flavor that hits. It should not be stickily sweet overall, and there should not be so much alcohol that you feel like someone just dashed a stiff drink in your face, but traditionally it tastes at the top like a somewhat complex milkshake and by the bottom of the glass it's warming, fruity and spicy. (I don't believe deliberate layering is part of the process: I just believe pomegranate molasses sinks.) Does any of this translate into measurements you can use?
