I know who Smiley is and I could totally see Dame Dench in the part, given some rumpled tailoring and some hornrim glasses, but I never could keep the other blokes straight.

He's only in the one book, which I recommend very highly ([livejournal.com profile] rushthatspeaks reviewed it last year), although not if you want to be able to think uncomplicatedly about anything for a long time afterward. It was the first le Carré I read; there was a copy in my grandparents' house. I didn't get around to Tinker, Tailor until very recently.

And no fair you adding to my spy problems.

Not my fault. These things happen.

Do not go anywhere with a dude calling himself Mr. North, with a few porridge oats clinging onto his jacket and a wind-blown look. It can't end well in weather like this.
