2. I'll have to look for this book you've read. And I'm disappointed to hear that about the first of the Laundry books. I really liked the one of them that I'd read. I don't think I'll read that one, and I'm really not sure I'll read any of the others.

...I misread "Valentine's" as "Vesuvius." There has got to be something I can do with that.

Indeed! I think I'd rather folk celebrated Vesuvius Day, even if it would end up being a bit macabre.

Which reminds me of a wonderful little fanfic I read somewhere wherein Luna Lovegood celebrates St. Valentine's Day by making a tray of little sweet cakes that look like actual human hearts. I wish people in my life would do that. Or at least that I could figure out how to do it myself.
