Yes. Despite falling off and breaking her collarbone in high school, she went to a college where they had horses and fulfilled her proverbial need to get back on the horse, despite parental protestations. My mother basically said she was never allowed to get on a horse again after the accident, so picking a college with horses was an odd form of rebellion.
This provided an odd moment of comedy when my mother broke her own collarbone a few years ago and we all told her she was never allowed to get on a horse again. My mother actually fell in a ditch, but this made her laugh, even with the injury, so we counted it as a win.
My sister still rides relatively regularly. She has a barn in upper part of Manhattan where she goes to take care of the horses.
