I'm at Catskills Irish Arts Week the now. It's so far really good, except for what's not.
Mostly the former, I hasten to add. I had a class (an hour and a half) and a half of really nice singing class, completely in Irish, with a lovely singer from Clare. Then some eejit (English frustrates me again--there are fine points of shading that I can't make here.) came in halfway through today, because she hadn't "proper footwear" for a dancing class. I could forgive her lack of fluency, but the lack of pitch not so much.
Well, I just had a lovely conversation out of the blue with an elderly Acadian fiddler, so my temper's better.
