I could be wrong, of course -- but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he zaps Korra and then we see her overcoming it. Given that the show is making some very clear points about how benders treat non-benders, and Korra is clearly perpetuating some of that problem without realizing, making her live as a non-bender for a while would be very good for opening her eyes.
