I was not impressed by The Hollowing (1993) or Gate of Ivory, Gate of Horn (1997), both of which I read anyway because there were copies in the same used book store where I picked up Mythago Wood and Lavondyss originally. I am very fond of The Bone Forest (1991), which is a prequel novella in a loose cycle of related short stories; I've never been able to track down a copy of Merlin's Wood (1994). I don't think The Fetch or Ancient Echoes (1996) are technically mythago novels, but they really feel like them. Somewhere in boxes, I own far more of his books than was probably healthy for me at the time. Avilion just received such good reviews, I'm wondering if I should make the one last effort.
