There's nothing quite like walking home under a waxing moon to distil the day.

I think New York reminded me how much I like walking more than three miles in a day.

I have a soft spot for the various Fantasias; now I shall have to add Edipo re to the Quickflix list.

I really had missed Fantasia 2000; I suppose I was burnt out on recent Disney and thought it would be derivative. Now I want to rewatch the original—I don't care that it's now scientifically inaccurate, I love Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" with volcanism and dinosaurs, and "Night on Bald Mountain" is just gloriously demonic.

And then you should see Medea, because that was our first Pasolini and it is amazing. [livejournal.com profile] rushthatspeaks wrote it up.

In addition to the Platonic solids of bar food: oven-roasted sweet potato curl-crisps. I wonder what the other three may be?

Well, the cheddar-and-bacon chips [livejournal.com profile] derspatchel and I had at the Half Pint were pretty hardcore. (I know the menu thought they were fries, but we had just seen One Man, Two Guvnors and they were definitely chips.) I do like sweet potato, though.
