That copy of Scanners sounds like the muddy brown copy of The Thing they trotted out every year at Toronto's Midnight Movies screenings. Maaan, that was terrible, but I went. It was worth it to see Rob Bottin's freakery on a big screen. (Love the sound descriptions, BTW.)
