Well, "A" is for "amygdala," Mr. Sweet

Lackadaisy is a lot like Baccano! with cats. Less alchemy, more drinking, similar incidence of ultraviolence. It also looks like one of the more erudite comics this side of 2D Goggles: the artist apologizes for the inclusion of an anachronistic radio and the uncertainty of paper napkins. My favorite character appears to be a psychopathic neat-freak of a Jewish contract killer with no sense of humor, but a nice line in suits and pince-nez; I discovered him when he looked like the down-right corner here, but this is more his usual style. I suppose it's good to know my character tastes are intact even when they're all anthropomorphic cats.

I dreamed about watching lost silent films starring Louise Brooks. The last thing I was reading before bed was Diane Duane's Spock's World (1988), but evidently the '20's stuck.

<3 Lackadaisy :) But it updates very irregularly so be warned.

On the subject of erudite comics, are you familiar with Family Man?

I can't help but notice that you keep on fixating on the character most likely to be introduced while completely covered in blood. As you may guess, I approve of this trend.;)

Also, young human Viktor looks weirdly like Chris Hemsworth. Coincidence?

Also also: How much do I love that ghetto snapshot of what I can only assume is very young Mordecai with his family? A lot.

You know, if nothing else, I just really admire/am wild with jealousy over her ability to do amazing little sketches of her characters any damn time she wants. How much would that rock? A lot!

(I agree with you about Mordecai coming from New York. Love to know how the hell he ended up in St. Louis, though grantedly, it's a good place to stand apart with your gangsta self.)

(I've really got to stop saying "How much would.../A lot" sometime soon. It makes me sound twelve.)

If your public library can find Sandy Wilson's This Is Sylvia, I think you would enjoy it.

Just keep in mind the context in which I'm recommending this odd little book...

THe only fanart I've gotten thus far has been moon_custafer's little doodle of Chess on the cover of one of those Strange Love!-type 1950s paperbacks: The Strangest Love the West Has Ever Known! I think it pops up whenever you Google-images me/A Book of Tongues.
