Well, the movies indicated Ron+Herminone well before the books did. Don't know if that counts, as by the time it showed up on screen it was already showing up in the books.

I'd always assumed Snape would survive to book 7 because he's the obvious person to make the last Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher -- the job that whacks everyone who takes it.
