I have not read Manda Scott's Boudica series. (I tend to be something of a strikeout with historical fiction, unless it's Mary Renault, Steven Saylor, or Mary Gentle in certain lights; and Celtic historical fiction tends to set off warning bells, unless it's Rosemary Sutcliff; but I am willing to try most things once. What do you like about it?) I assume this grew out my general parameters for favorite characters?
