In the pines, in the pines, where the sun never shines

My poem "Taking the Auspices" has been accepted by inkscrawl. Considering I wrote it about two hours ago for [livejournal.com profile] cucumberseed and [livejournal.com profile] asakiyume, this is one of the better turnarounds I've encountered. It is my first sale there.

Versification is a review site devoted entirely to speculative poetry. They went up a few days ago and are so far producing thoughtful work. Go and make them feel loved.

I did not sleep last night, either, but I saw my oldest childhood friend married this morning, and that was very neat. Also it turns out a pizza with nothing on it but tomatoes and zucchini is delicious.

Congratulations! Whiz!

The wedding sounds lovely.

Sleep well tonight.

That's excellent! Congratulations!

(also congratulations to your friend)

I hope you have found sleep and sleep does not scorn you, for you have kicked all the asses, and sleep needs to recognize.

That poem is delicious and so perfect for [livejournal.com profile] cucumberseed's world, with its Shokkals and haruspex ...es? (What's the plural of "haruspex"?)

May all August scents and flowers bless your friend's marriage.

Delighted to hear of the acceptance!

And congratulations to your friend!

Also it turns out a pizza with nothing on it but tomatoes and zucchini is delicious.

Interesting. I'll hold that in mind. I imagine it needs very good tomatoes.

I'm sorry for the lack of sleep, and I hope you've had more of it since.
