Right. That's Nicholas, sixth Viscount Taaffe, General Feldwachtmeister and Count of the Holy Roman Empire. I'd call a moment of huh?what? for the titles, except that I think I've found a better one: the ninth Viscount Taaffe (Lewis) who marries into the family of Prince Bretzenheim von Regécz and Princess Maria Walburga Josefa of Oettingen-Oettingen and Oettingen-Spielburg. I can imagine the children took a little time to announce at balls. ("Who's for dinner tonight?" — "Lord Taaffe and . . . that woman with the name." — "Oh, great. Can you maybe just wave them through?")

Maybe he was a secret elf, and still around. You should look.

You know, I'm not sure immortal Austrian Prime Ministers have quite the same mythical ring . . .
