The New Yorker hardly ever publishes women, and they're not particularly partial to mythic writing
And then there was the week they published Robert Pinsky's "
Last Robot Song
," Susan Stewart's "
First Idyll
," and Cavafy's "
It Must Have Been the Spirits
," so who knows.
