something about empty offices and real-life people I know.
Apropos, but probably unrelated. I just wandered through the many very empty sections of my workplace, looking for inspiration.
a neighborhood with a lot of pine trees and porches with slatted screens.
This is very vivid in my head; I've-been-to-a-place-like-that vivid. It will haunt me until I discover why.
